I’m still suffering from this; somehow in this hack <<something>> happened to my LastPass account and login/unlocking it became impossible. LastPass support (rightly) can’t help, so 3 or so years later I’m still stumbling i

Honestly I envision this concept a lot; I was first inspired by Men in Black where a cat has a universe in a bauble attached to a collar around its neck. The bauble looks like a marble.

Reminds me of Filippo Brunelleschi; in the 1400s he grokked structural mechanics far better than anyone else and protested supporting the domed ceiling of the Pazzi chapel with columns. All the engineers of the time made the case he was wro

This is me almost every time I interact with ISP support. Except… recently I completely misdiagnosed something. So while I was getting politely frustrated with the support clerk, he was stepping me through a set of irrelevant seeming proced

Austin here, we’re enrolled in a conservation plan through Austin Energy whereby they control our smart thermostats (Nest in our case). These “Rush Hour” notices have been firing a lot over the past two weeks; perhaps only two days where we

A Clockwork Orange is a really great example of how ultra-violence in film doesn’t age well. In the past I could watch the events in the rich folks’ home and understand the actions the Droogs took were bad, thus they deserved their respecti

In SF licensed Taxicabs can pick up / drop off in bike lanes. I learned this by being overly aggro to a taxi driver when I was a cyclist in SF. Credit to the driver for calmly talking me through the rules. http://www.sfbike.

Can you buy the service provider? Can you buy a copy of their service and run it in-house? If they’re struggling as you say; you may find that the premium to acquire all/part of their operation is relatively low. It’s nearly always bet

Fair! I’d not considered that aspect, but you’re right, serializing these into a git repo would be the correct solution here. I think the integration is important though; I’ve vented plenty of steam at co-workers who don’t look at the COMMA

Warp also has a cool looking cataloging feature where commands can be bundled up and shared with your co-workers. Seems a good solution for sharing those dark arts folks tend to build up over time. Edit: link to feature: https://

Reading the radial gradient example I’m struck by how much English is used, “farthest-side” as an example, and how far beyond short hand symbols for concepts (“var”, “int”, etc) we’ve moved. I’ve been around a while, I understand that Engli

Hah, same except my dad showed me how to write a simple search and replace using a DOS batch script to generate many files to then pass into the renderer. I used it to do camera pans, lighting effects, etc.
