The recent npm supply chain attacks were directly targeting people in the HN crowd. Don’t think because you’re here and know tech that you’re immune.

They installed some here at a Home Depot parking lot right when the ice raids started. It was weird that only the home deport owned portion of the parking lot got them which lead to some investigation into who put them up and sure enough fl

That's like saying why would anyone buy a PC when there's Macs and you can run MS Office on them. Not everyone cares about Sony exclusives. Not a single one I'm interested in as a data point.

It also turns into a talking point for them. A lot of these weird conspiracies would have naturally died out if some people didn’t try to shut them down so much.

I've just started immediately rejecting AI pull requests. I don't have time for that. There's going to be a massive opportunity for agencies that are skilled enough to come in and fix all of this nonsense when companies reali

As someone that basically does code reviews for a living, last thing I want to do is code review agents. I want to reduce how much review I’m doing, not hand hold some ai agents.

Anyone that’s used any of Disneys sites know they break at random on a good day. Just look how many people complain about the DCL site having issues.

FCC threatened Nexstar and all the others that run affiliate networks. Nexstar is trying to merge with Tegna. It's pretty clear how this was a very easy threat for the FCC to make. Without the affiliates ABC has no real audience outsid

Tesla lost the race and won’t even be in the space in any meaningful way in a few years. They’re only limping along because they have some guy pumping the stock.

That's an oversimplification of autopilot systems. They can follow flight routes, avoid traffic (TCAS), even auto land to name a few.

Auto feels like a way for them to slightly push people towards paid models more. If they really favored Anthropic, claude would be the included free model, right?

And how are these companies measuring engagement? If they make it easy to accidentally click one of their "AI" buttons, does that count? Like in Clickup they put AI features on basically every single view they could and its incred

It’s like we’ve taken a step back and people forgot how the web used to be built. I’ve also seen someone ask how you use JavaScript if you don’t have a preprocessor like webpack.

Was in Oregon and my inspector said it’s sadly legal and very common to have restrictions like that. Last I heard they were being sued over that community at least.
