Previous member of PrivacyTools (before the split) here. I have personally found it sad that they relicensed from CC0 for both content and code to CC-BY-ND 4.0 for content and MIT for code. I don't mind MIT, but CC-BY-ND? How am I supp

iirc The governor can request changes on which the legislature will then vote on, which is what happened.

Don't worry, I have a fix just for you. Though it defaults to spacebar, so you would have to change the keysym yourself. https://git.dawidpotocki.com/dawid/xkcd1172/about/ GH mirror: https://g

It's really hard for me to take UX people seriously that believe that such text style is okay. My eyesight is good but my eyes still get tired reading such thin font, even the "bold" text is too thin. I shouldn't have to

I am aware that the SPI is unlocked, but MSI claimed that this is somehow supposed to protect against flashing unauthorised firmware, even with SPI unlocked. I don't really trust them though. Are you flashing official firmware or modde

Because motherboard vendors really don't care about security[1]. In case you forgot/not heard, MSI also broke Secure Boot on purpose and didn't mention it anywhere[2]. And let me pull up another quote from MSI: > We'v

Yes, but most of their boards don't have the most basic protections (like all of the DIY mobo industry), because their customers don't care at all. For example, on MSI PRO Z690-A, you are able to install coreboot to replace the of

At least in my country (New Zealand) only Newegg (which ships from US and has very expensive shipping) seems to have these 4 stick DDR5 kits and only from Crucial and they are all more expensive than a 2 stick kit with the same capacity, so

This is true, but that's not good either. Thankfully finding a final draft isn't hard for these, but we shouldn't have to do it in the first place.

Yes, that currently doesn't work well, but most people are using 1DPC, not 2DPC. You can't really even find a kit with 4 DDR5 sticks.

How do you define "non-enthusiast hardware"? All consumer AMD CPUs should be able to clock up to 6000 MT/s and Raptor Lake should do 6600 MT/s stable at the very least with Hynix M-dies. 5600 MT/s is not even an ove

Not a huge fan the changes. Having a separated navbar for the site and repository made sense to me, now they are partially merged. The repo name, watch, fork and star buttons are now under the navbar and look very weird and out of place. It

It's not good news for Linux distros. This setting breaks GRUB's expectations of shim being available when Secure Boot is enabled. Because of this, it will decline booting and will show you an error message. IIRC EVGA and Gigabyte

No, the specification is not against user freedom. "Always Execute" is not against the spec. "Query User" is partially broken, so it's not even that useful. If you use a bootloader, you will only be able to confirm

This change is unrelated. E.g. 7C02v3F (2022-08-12) for B450 TOMAHAWK MAX had this line in the changelog, but 7C02v3C (2022-01-18) version also had this issue.
