Many many years ago I got kicked out of student halls at university. I used to keep my stuff in my lockers and sleep in the bathing rooms all night. If people tried to use one I'd yell "In the bath". One time I slept in a stu

If you are trying to avoid spook you're fucked anywhere you are: US EU whatever. Yes, if the NSA want your US email they probably won't press that button, but they'll ask GCHQ to press a UK button insetad and get it that way.

But if you were, say, The Pirate Bay and all you are pinning is the torrent file then it seems like that might have worked as torrents are only a few kb in size rather than a Gb movie file? What was the name of the site?

ex-lawyer here. Where big money is at stake most sensible judges will, or will /try/ to, look behind absolutist language in a contract (be it smart or not). Courts are very good at looking at contracts and asking what the parties

My take on legal wigs, as an ex-barrister, is that they are an anachronistic historical decoration. They mean nothing, they are not "Asimovian" or other twaddle like that. They are the vestiages of Office that were never modernise

Usenet is low key and mainly for file distribution nowadays but it still has its niche. I do like to try implementing the protocol for making servers whenever I'm trying to learn a new language, it's my Hello World. I've nev

Will you be making this available on nntp servers? Might be nice to see it on a text only nntp server. Sure one of the big usenet providers would want help seems on their interest.
