I wouldn't be bothered seeing any of this on a resume. In fact, would you please send me a resume? We have a fun role for clever people like you. :-)

I'm impressed and surprised that they have released code. I worried that the initial flurry of money and hype would derail them. Many projects never get this far, and for this, they deserve to be commended. They've built something and d

Oh man, this is awesome. Too bad it's vim-specific and not a shell built-in, which would be handy.

I'm really curious how they will count ad impressions in this new system. Can anyone find any comments on that? Google is CPC, but the number of impressions has a dramatic impact on price.

Company B. Roles change all the time. Especially if you work hard to make sure they change. Great companies are hard to come by.

There are a lot of different versions of the truth here and of what the facts are. I think most folks believe that the amounts and concealment were not really issues, as neither was either significant or deliberate. I think the real issue w

I'd love to hear more about how you navigated this process. I had just assumed it was "impossible" unless you are Boeing or Halliburton.

"looks bad" :-) But it's a bad habit to get into. Or better yet, it's better to think in idempotent operations when doing systems work.

My experience and of those around me is quite different. Maybe Silicon Valley is different. It's quite easy to liberate IP from a worthless company.

All that you have to consider is how much you burn on a monthly basis and how long you can sustain to focus on your endeavor without any stable source of income. Having full-time to focus on your plans will help, if you can afford to not be

I hope those guys aren't still VCs. I've never heard of something so stupid. VCs aren't in the business of holding onto IP.

No, it will not. I'm not sure what filing fees you are referring to. Your Schedule D with the SEC? There's not much else that needs to be filed. This can all be done in one 409A evaluation immediately after the financing.

Get a new lawyer. You can definitely do a round with different investors getting different share prices. At the very least, your lawyer can structure a Series A-1, A-2, A-3, each with a different share price, but otherwise being identical

Actually the press release seems relatively specific in their claims. I'd expect the actual complaint to be even more explicit. If it's true, it will not be very hard to prove. As an aside, this stuff happens quite often. It's inappropria

How do you know they've filed a ptent on it? Just saying it on a website doesn't make it true. Also, applications won't show up for at least a year. That said, you have a year to get your patent in from when you first launched your servic

Most property management companies are actually just managing the contractors who fix the sprinklers... those people aren't on your payroll. Usually property managers just take a fixed % of all the rental revenue.
