That sounds lovely. Coming from the countryside in Germany we did something similar as children. The night sky sure is awesome.

I'm from Germany and in New York right now. Damn is everything expensive here. And everyone running around with a 10+$ Starbucks coffee all the time. Edit: probably not a fair comparison though since I come from the countryside in Germ

I'm from Germany and it's really crazy to think just one cable is holding almost the entirety of our flight system. Hopefully they fix it until next Monday. I'm having a flight to Frankfurt then.

As soon as I open a fresh IDE these days I immediately miss CoPilot and it's the first thing I install. Hype or not, it's incredibly useful and has increased my productivity by at least 20%. Worth every penny.

Wow, Postgres is older than me. I never knew. Love Postgres and use is for basically all of my projects.

This. So much. It's the key I use as well to hit the gym. Just go there physically. Even with the lowest amount of motivation when everything's shit. The line “if a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing badly” comes to mind. If

Thank you! That's reassuring and I strongly believe that Flutter is the best option for developing cross platform apps right now.

First of all: Thank you for your outstanding work! And sorry to ask this here, but how have the recent layoffs affected the flutter team? We're using flutter as our main framework for our app and it's quite important. The layoffs

Apple has such an unpredictable stance on software development. For example after all these years and lots of requests for such a feature it's still not possible to get notified about new reviews for your apps, but it's possible t

It still boggles my mind how much you can do with another persons SSN in the US. It's like a password for your life in plain text. Crazy.

Interesting. Anecdotally we (myself, friends and family) never get prescribed Paracetamol here in Germany. It's always Ibuprofen. I always felt it was obvious, given the supposedly side effects of it.

I loved the vending machine game of Japan. It was incredible to be able to get water or other drinks basically anywhere. Even in the most remote places there was a vending machine. They always worked flawlessly as well.

Is going back to the office such a huge thing in other countries? Here in Germany almost nothings changed from the main COVID time in terms of home office. It seems like our standard of working has transformed and will not revert back.

This is the biggest argument for me why EVs are the superior technology. Thinking further with renewable energies, heat pumps and more, soon we'd only need infrastructure for electricity and internet.
