Never thought about it like this. Yeah, nobody would question the safety of many European cities even if something like this were to happen. It would be considered a freak incident.

I think it's rather to encourage us to fly. Many people are scared of flying and only do so, because they know it's the safest form to travel. If that would change, many people would refrain from flying.

Sounds like Digital Ocean was the problem, not Kubernetes. Been running managed Kubernetes in GCP for years without any issues. They are bugging me to update for some time now, but I don't think they would force an update on me.

I compared it to past translations the translators did and also my native language. That's how I gained the confidence it'd do just as well with new languages.

I've been using GPT-4 to translate my app into new languages. Saved me thousands of dollars in the past few weeks. I used to pay translators for that, but GPT-4 translation is so good. I'd argue domain specific even better than a

For me it's most noticeable when driving. Especially on the Autobahn and fast. You're guessing what other drivers will do constantly and can react way faster that way.

It's interesting to see that taxes are such a big deal in the US. I did my taxes in Germany in 10 Minutes a few weeks ago while sitting in the waiting area of our local tax office. Granted I'm just a default working class citizen

We currently have three doctors in our local town, which is already a lot for Germany. All of those are completely overworked and close to retirement age. I cannot imagine what it will like be when they're gone without replacement. May

I'm so hyped for the ChatGPT-4 API. Wish they'd give me access so I can make a lot of my workflows much easier. Especially in terms of translations.

I'm guessing the VC market was much more strict then, since you had a way higher risk if a startup didn't turn a profit. Probably did a lot more due diligence then.

Having lived in the countryside in Germany my whole life (34 years), I noticed a dramatic decline of insects. When I was a child, there were so many butterflies, bees and more in the summer. Today I barely see them anymore.

The most amazing thing about ChatGPT translation is, that you can even instruct it how to translate. For example "dutzen" and "sietzen" in German. I just simply tell it how it should do it and it did. Absolutely amazing.

Interesting that its viewed so critically in the US. If documented its no problem and not uncommon at all in Germany. In fact many business owners pay something like credit card bills personally and reimburse through the company later.
