That doesn't give you the right to copy and paste the question without following the licensing at SO, https://meta.stackexchange.com/questions/24611/is-it-legal-t... . You are missing the attribution part fro

You're allowed to describe that advanced functionality, I'm pretty curious, myself.

It's a reasonable critism. The base of the stack is a proper dev library. The top part evolved from an example to that library and didn't get the same refactoring love to make it accessible to other devs. Main problem from our end

For all the icons built into the app we've performed due diligence that the source allows them to go into the app and allows publishing in any format, or we built them internally from scratch. And yes, we need to publish the audit trai

Productivity tools often do integrate draw.io, but often are just embedding. Bookstack is one of the best integrations, the create and edit flow is exactly how we intended it.

This is where my reply was going. Authenication to Google Drive is client-side and direct to google.com. There is no draw.io server anywhere that can access your Google Drive.

And where did the user store the data? Addtionally, you can deploy a local version via docker, or use the stand-alone desktop version, https://github.com/jgraph/drawio has the links.

Good choice :). We do still evolve the project as OS, https://github.com/jgraph/mxgraph , since it's the base of our stack.

Doesn't a footer pop up when you save locally on the online version telling you about the desktop version?

The core team has a 15 year contract with an Atlassian consulting firm to produce and support the Confluence and Jira integrations with a revenue share model. Last financial year that earned us $3.1M, up from $1.8M the year before.

As someone who first sold to devs and then switched, many years ago, to the largest end user market that we originally served (indirectly), if I did it all again I wouldn't bother with the first part. It slightly depends where your pri

draw.io is an open source project [1], you're suggesting we hire a team to implement the AWS icons? Asking for others to contribute to open source is a generally accepted concept. https://github.com/jgraph/drawio

AWS do put a lot of work into their icons set. That said, we (draw.io) get a lot of direct complains about the icons because: 1) They can't find certain AWS icons (the problem is it's there, they didn't expect it to look like

I'm left handed and always naturally used the mouse on the right-hand side. The handy side-effect of this is when I developed RSI in my right wrist, using a touchpad on the left was really easy...

For me the question that a lot of people will be asking after 25th May, is what happens if they don't? I would bet on nothing. The GDPR is there to catch the worst offenders, the other 99% of offenders will feel nothing.
