One artist who makes heavy use of Buchla's synths is Alessandro Cortini (live keyboardist for Nine Inch Nails). He does ambient stuff, but I prefer his SONOIO project, which is more poppy and has vocals. Here's a cool song made 1

> Loaning someone an asset at 0% is always worse than holding the asset. Exactly. My previous reasoning was indeed a bit muddied, but what you're saying now clarifies it. I don't disagree with your math. There are so many log

You're reasoning in circles. The loan is not 0% interest when denoted in dollars, since a deflationary currency will be worth more dollars as time goes by. Your reply only makes sense in a world where bitcion is the only currency in

Actually, no. Using only one instrument is a constraint when it comes to electronic music. Making it extremely unplayable by a human is another constraint.

I'm incredibly surprised by the negativity of the comments here. Taking a medium, in this case a piano midi track, and pushing it far beyond its limits, while still resulting in something resembling music, is just about as close to ha

I'm surprised that someone hasn't started another Bitcoin yet. Is it harder than just changing some initial seed? Because the artificial scarcity of digital currency is what's allowing for these high prices. Then all you need is intermedi

Ah, so were were supposed to look at the .yml files included in your exploit gem? Which contained some injected code that would then run on the rubygems server?

How about staging 8 files out of 10 that are currently modified, with no matching glob patterns for the CLI to use? I don't care how fast your keyboarding is, simply selecting the 8 (even better, select all and unselect the 2 you don't wan

Mostly in agreement, I never said one shouldn't learn the git CLI and the fundamental concepts - I did that myself. But once you've mastered that, you're ready to move on to something that speeds up your day to day work. Needing to use git

Or you could just use a GUI app and save yourself a lot of time. SourceTree (OS X only, free - http://sourcetreeapp.com ) has changed the way I use git since I started using it a few weeks ago. The best thing is the discoverability - you

It's almost like the commenters who are bashing the author of the post did not read the bit in bold, which is his main point: If you tell a database to store something, and it doesn’t complain, you should safely assume that it was stored.

Pretty cool. One thing is that it's hard to anchor the figures to actual medal counts. I think normalising the data would be awesome. The normalisation should be such that sum(actual medals won) = sum(adjusted medals won).

Your question is based on a flawed assumption. Making money is not the same thing as obtaining money - it's creation of wealth vs. transfer of wealth.

This is exactly the kind of "echo chamber" thinking I'm arguing against. If Notch launched a startup in a space where no-one knows or cares who Notch is, he'd have no advantage from his fame. Of course he shouldn't, that would mean giving

Great insight on founders needing to think more like investors. Something that may help in thinking this way is: If you had $100,000 to invest in an idea (and would not be personally involved beyond that), would you do it, or is there ano
