Awesome, Going to try this with my Pi. I presume that it'll work with the HDMI out into my AV receiver well without the distortion from lack of on-board DAC?

But quit a bad idea early enough. Don't cling onto your idea when it's not the best (seeing that can be difficult if you really believe in your idea though!)

It always surprises me how a company which prides itself on UX, and having reinvented UX can repeatedly screw it up big time with core things, maps, email (MobileMe when that was launched). I just wonder why fix something that ain't broke a

Sounds to me that the main issue was running out of RAM on workers. Would this not be soved by moving to another cloud provider (such as AWS) where you are not limited to the tiny RAM provided on Heroku? Is this not similar in strategy to c
