The first point can be rather easily circumvented by using strings as forward references and it only takes a bit of googling to figure that out. The second doesn't seem remotely like a deal breaker to me. Half the reason for having typ

It just seems too fashionable to talk about flat organizations nowadays. And, as many have pointed out, it's a bit ironic since organizations that claim to be flat tend not to be in practice. It's obnoxious when people claim tha

Don't get why everyone's so down on these photos. I enjoyed them. I've spent time over there and they made me nostalgic for travelling there.

It seems odd to me that there are so many anti-5G stories. It almost comes off as deliberate and targeted. I would imagine that the science of what levels and frequencies of EM radiation are safe is settled.

Ah okay I get it. For some reason, I thought it was travelling through the material mentioned in that quote during the time it disappeared in the video.

I'm confused how you could film a light pulse this way. It seems that the light pulse would itself have to be emitting light somehow. I'll assume it was travelling through a gas that scattered it.

I was about to comment to snarkily refute the claim in the title, but then the author seemed to sarcastically do that in the article.

I've read Blindsight . It's a good one. Actually, the premise didn't bother me as much as the Three Body trilogy.

A bit off-topic, but I've kind of struggled mentally since finishing The Dark Forest . Even though it's science fiction, it actually seems hard to argue with the theory in the book -- that civilizations must act to eliminate e

Very good advice. I think people used to get together more because it was necessary in order to communicate. Now, we can communicate pretty effectively without actually meeting anyone. But we still need to be social and interact. These

IMHO, a personal website that is super out of date looks worse than one that doesn't exist. My website is a good example of this (being out of date). So I recently removed it from my resume.
