The title is commonly found in heterogeneous projects where software isn't the solo driver. Ex: embedded systems Pretty much the title just describes a senior dev., who owns the software aspect of the project.

Take a look at cargo's contribution and architecture docs. [1] That project was hands down one of the easiest for me to get into and learn. I am a firm believer in a nice architecture document that points to interesting code sections.

I would suggest the inference I was alluding to would also apply amazon. Note how I never stated the inference. This is because I wanted to share a way of thinking without feeling the responsibility to reply to people attempting to force me

I’ll suggest considering whether entities enamored with centralizing ideals are more likely to fail to properly realize the robustness of a distributed system.

I think it’s telling of Google’s culture that the corporate arm felt the need to formalize this in law. I won’t pretend to know what it’s telling. Just suggest that you listen for yourself. Look at rule of law versus the ideas of liberty if

Jonestown and the like are such tragic events. I feel like it’s oddly appropriate to honor them in the same way I choose to honor the collective memory of veterans. Remebering them as a group of individuals with their own convictions ration

Fair enough. I believe that iron sharpens iron as person sharpens person; and if a person is looking for sharpening, a strong partner is the best tool. Also a cook needs more than just sharp knives. :)

I can see where you’re coming from. My armchair hypothesis is that people aren’t being taught how to have healthy long term monogamous relationships and why being in one (a healthy ltmr) can be so amazing. I won’t speculate on the cause, be

There are two classes of implications that come to me easily. 1) There is a possibility that the empowered person did not make the decision(s) that would have resulted in success. Maybe there was no decision chain leading to success. Good l

The ethics of ads, in my opinion, is a question of whether the ends justify the means. Persuasive ad campaigns are an attack on individual choice. The goal is to convince someone to do something: to buy, to vote, to labor, to behave, etc. I

I see no real reason to feed it back to iOS. If Apple manages to integrate iOS apps into macOS well, I can see them shipping iPads/iPhones with i+macOS. Both OS's run the same kernel anyways so why not just tweak them a bit, glue
