I like the idea, but adding post-commit hooks to my repos is a big barrier to entry for me.

I'm working on a ruby version, the WIP can be seen on this pull request: https://github.com/adambard/learnxinyminutes-docs/pull/18

Does this service require me to give up my private key for a given API? Seems like a huge security risk to me.

In the example situation the choice wasn't quite so clear, as IP was on the line too. Regardless: A customer wants to pay an exorbitant fee up front, and you're fretting? Why? Take their money.

Absolutely. I should probably have clarified that. I do think there's a disconnect between which pieces of data people think are public vs. what is actually public. My git commit email was one of them. That's what I'm trying to illustrate i

Boxen is rad. We've started using it for new machines at Shopify and it's been really helpful.

This is my concern too. There's no mention of starred repos anywhere (that I could see) but lo and behold they're added to my bookmarks. This is great, and I'd much prefer to simply star projects and have them appear than use a bookmarklet

We've finished hiring interns for the summer, but we'll be looking again in the fall. I don't know about Toronto specifically, but keep an eye on our careers page and you'll see the positions go up in a couple of months.

Two space indentation for me. That's pretty much the default for ruby code AFAIK. I'm somewhat ambivalent about it though. On the one hand I find it easier to read (less scanning back and forth across the page) but on the other it is forgiv
