It's probably Hacker News blocking you. It's blocked my home IP address for days on a few occasions for (I think) simply restoring a session with too many tabs open.

I've seen this pop up a few times over the last few weeks. I just thought Safari was bugging out because I'd refresh and it'd be gone again. Hope it sticks around.

This is one of those things that becomes immediately "obvious" the moment I see it... but I'd never have thought of. If we could decrease the amount of understanding required (possibly a bad thing) to get python running on th

Go to spotify.com and click on Sign up in the top right hand corner of the page. On that page there should be a link under the big facebook F: "create an account using your e-mail address" You may need to log out of Facebook if you're logge

Yup. It's even put me off telling some people about it, they don't have facebook, they're not amazingly technical and I'll have to talk them through the sign-up online.

If you don't want to sign up using Facebook, go to the homepage and click signup from there. Edit: I know my father would love this service but he doesn't have a Facebook account (and never will) and he'd likely have just given up at the po

Great stuff. I have a Python version here: https://github.com/thedavesims/LetterHack It was very basic but it's had some great contributions since.

BBC iPlayer is restricted in Ireland unfortunately. I haven't specifically checked from Amazon's data centre though, but I'd imagine it has the same geographical restriction as my home broadband.

Did you mirror a fullscreen h264? That's probably not an ideal use case. You can AirPlay directly from iTunes or by using AirFlick and AirVideo server which may suit your needs. They're both free.

Check out AirParrot, it's $10. Fullscreen AirPlay audio and video. It works fine on my 2008 Macbook but it gets a little hot and noisy. The lag is noticeable but tolerable, fine for browsing the web but not gaming. Audio/video sync is fine

The amount of entries is astounding. I'm busy rating them at the moment but I've no idea what percentage of the 599 games I'll get through. There are some gems in there.

Here's my entry: 'Harvest' - On g+ as ludumdare.com seems to be down. https://plus.google.com/117952639955495935037/posts/DyEXjhmF... Edit: Notch's entry keeps saying "Click to focus" for me. Even when I click to focus... hmmm.

I imagine this is what Wil Wheaton hears in his head when he's reading EULAs. With that out of the way, would it be possible to represent EULAs in a simpler manner while still satisfying a company's legal department?

They're supposed to be stickers. So you peel 4 of them off to make a QR code based on the labels. When you scan it, it shows you a picture combining the 4 words you picked. I don't think that'd work in real life. Edit: Yeah, ok, it probably

The wording on the Sign Up & Pricing also lead me to believe that it's 3 designs a month for free. How about pay as you go pricing? I'm not going to pay monthly if I only need it every now and then, but I'd happily pay $15 per design on
