> What if someone loses their phone before Apple “fixes” this? As the article notes, they'll have the option to call in and pay over the phone like many other banks allow. It's not ideal, but it's not the end of the world.

Yep, that's a violation of the FDPCA. It was probably more cost effective for them to write it off than to have to deal with you litigating.

Apples to oranges. Google losing $1 billion over putting the Konami Code on their homepage hurts because they won't make $1 billion off of doing that. Facebook is likely making a lot of money off of, as you claim, something that is clo

I think there's a fundamental conflict of interest allowing corporate-backed editors to slip in photos of their logos like that. I don't think it's something that Wikipedia should endorse (and remove when they find it). I don

I unfortunately lost my container data (luckily I only have a couple set up). To get the fix though, I had to opt in to the Firefox studies. Apparently I had opted out at some point in the past.

Using your analogy, this is probably more akin to somebody going after a hardware store specializing in hammers to kill people. Sure, the government could spend the time trying to track down each individual patron and bring individual charg
