The worst offender I've found is websites that hijack the swipe gesture, either on a touchpad or on a touch device. Instead of going back in the browser, it'll go to another page on the site as if you wanted to swipe to the next a

But why can't users be asked and given the option? If that's the result of their data being deleted, then I'm sure the company in question would make users well aware of the consequences of opting out.

If "the next Facebook" is also going to mishandle my user data because they can't possibly comply with privacy regulations, then quite frankly I don't care if they can't make it.

They offer a cash transfer service via Messenger (similar to Apple Pay Cash or Snap Cash where you hand over a debit card and then you can send money to friends). I believe they also used to have a system (maybe they still do?) where you co

Disney is upset because it "cheapens" the Disney movies. Why buy the expensive codes elsewhere (bundled with physical copies you may or may not want) when you can get them from Redbox on the cheap?

Why wouldn't you want to have a copy of all your medical records? Perhaps this isn't super useful if you've gone to the same doctor your entire life, but I've gone to multiple doctors (and I know I'll be going to mo

That is typical NY Times style. The first time someone is named, they are named in full. You'll notice Obama is named earlier in the article: > President Trump carried North Carolina in 2016, but the state elected a Democrat as its

Not sure if this'll help your situation, but I did something equally dumb when I was back in high school. Clicked on my own ads, got banned from AdSense, etc. (Luckily, it didn't affect my other Google services at the time.) Recen

I love autocorrect on my phone. I frequently fat finger letters, and my typing on mobile is faster now due to me being able to assume it'll autocorrect for me. My phone isn't a device I would ever use for writing long prose that m

I think that's a bit too apples-to-oranges. The internet "pipes" won't explode if they're not maintained properly.

The second Twitter icon (which is an SVG) looks very sharp when zoomed in. The table of other icons is a screenshot, not in SVG, so those won't look sharp when zooming in.

I don't use self checkout because I'm lazy, tbh. It's more work I need to do. Particularly at the grocery store I go to, I know which cashiers are good and efficient. If I have a coupon, or if I'm buying a clearance item
