You compile with various compilers and you decompile them with different decompilers. This is trivial today. Randomness hardware? There are already perfectly good PRNG routines available as used by currently available strong encryption. I

The problem with WhatsApp is that IT is not open source, so you only have facebook's say-so that they're using the signal code, and you have to have faith that they've implemented it securely, and you have to trust that, as a

Yeah, it's all old news. I regularly use several different compilers so that's not such the shock you suspect it might be. Also, for your paranoia to be really effective you must also assume the disassemblers must also be in on t

I block javascript. I whitelist very few sites. Ads - like sites themselves - need to work without javascript. Then we can all get along. Running random, unsigned, untested, unwanted code from strangers on my own computer doesn't re

If you have the source then you can see what it does. If you only have the binary you have no idea what it does. You can observe what it does today, but what use is that if tomorrow it receives a short message from Facebook which tells it t

Sure, but then you create another fake account. In any event, my original suggestion was for people who simply wanted to silently join groups to read info, and/or avoid annoying login requests.
