None of this works if the programmer isn't the same person that writes the docs. e.g. if you have a copy-writer come along and write/update the docs before each release, then its not captured in the same commit/branch/et

IIRC netflix mostly use AWS these days. So checking IPs will just check for anything AWS hosted.

Except that many IOT devices require you to be in the broadcast domain for control and discovery.... e.g. with LIFX wifi light bulbs, you can control them with low latency (and no internet connection) via ip packets; or high latency via LIF

On arch we haven't yet. We use Cargo.lock files to get reproducible builds, but trying to get rust to follow normal practices has been difficult.
