FDB is for permanent data storage, Redis is for temporary data. It does not matter that you can configure Redis to persist data to disk because the performance most Redis use cases need makes it less usable that way.

I would be happy if Parquet or ORC was used in most DWHs. The difference between JSON and Parquet is much bigger than the difference between Parquet and BtrBlocks.

Yes. The latest variants are less deadly. There is a pretty good reason for that. If the infected lives longer it has a higher chance of a successful transmission.

Legally in many countries commute to work is working. If you have an accident while commuting it counts as a work accident. Not sure what is the status in the USA.

I settled on 1 subfolder, 1 “stack” (stage/app, for example dev/login/frontend). This gives us fast deploy time and easy and painless way to destroy/re-create. Databases could go a separate folder if state if we had any.
