I've used `alias shit='docker run --rm -it --entrypoint /bin/sh -v $PWD:/workdir -w /workdir'` for a long time. This way, whenever I need, I can just run `shit alpine` or `shit ubuntu` or whatever.

What makes you say exchanges rule Bitcoin's world? If exchanges are the equivalent of banks, miners are the equivalent of governments. So if anyone "rules" "the" Bitcoin's world, then it would be miners. Not ex

You're clearly misunderstanding what bitcoin is about. No trust is put into crypto exchanges. Trust is put into cryptography, which miners help with. This kind of puts the trust in miners, but in order to do anything as a miner, you&#x

Sure, but not everyone can foresee everything. Email was meant to be a decentralised, self-hosted service, yet here we are, gmail, outlook have the majority of users. In addition to that, most of those megaminers, and megapools, can't

Bitcoin isn't claiming that it takes corruption out of the human psyche. Corrupt people stay corrupt. All bitcoin does is take unfounded trust away from individual organisations and governments, and instead puts that trust in maths and

I suppose the issue in this scenario isn't necessarily energy, but that it's miners are at odds with Ethereum devs to the point where they're willing to attack the network itself. Either way, I'm all for PoS because of t

Looks really good. This seems like it would be a great alternative to AirDrop if support is added to enough platforms. One issue I have with it is, if it's p2p having a speed limit seems silly. Note: I'm obviously thinking from a

I understand what you mean, though, to me, it read more along the lines of "you already trust Bitwarden, now you can use it to also send stuff" or something like that. Could be just be.

Typescript is getting more and more popular. I wonder if there is leeway to have this introduced into browsers to be run directly. I can see Microsoft doing it with edge, and possibly provide an upstream patch to chromium. This might be unp

I'd love to know too. It seems like it's nearly at feature parity but if performance is an issue, it's not really a replacement.

Firefly III [0] solves this by making the user responsible for this. They expect you give it the necessary details (api keys etc) for Spectre, which it then uses to download transactions. Could you not do something similar? Write a small gu

Since you're Europe based, this was implied. As mentioned by a sibling comment, this doesn't mean you don't sell data. Your vague reply seems to imply that you do end up selling this data. I guess this kind of makes sense, co

It wouldn't be DNS blocking. The feature request on the project is about adding an HTTPS MITM Proxy that would then do the cosmetic filters among other things. AGH already supports adding AdGuard filters, but for obvious reasons it onl

Your privacy policy seem quite vague. Do you sell transactional data? Anonymised or not? I've been looking for an alternative to Yodlee, but they all seem to be selling the scraped data in the background.

Except in reality there is no standardisation, and everyone's API is different. Making it that much harder to actually integrate. Still, having _an_ API is way better than no API.

This is a feature that has been requested, but isn't implemented yet. Suggest you give it a thumbs up on github as they implement things in order of highest number of thumbs.

Honest question, what's Google's angle with flutter? It's one thing to be develop a toolkit for platforms they have a vested interest in, it's an entirely different thing to create such a toolkit for all platforms, inclu

Personally I'd much rather use Bitwarden due to their fully open source nature, and possibility to self host if they ever go down the wrong path. In addition, there are open source alternatives that have all the features you mentioned

Sure, inventory is unaccounted for but you as an engineer knows it's not accounted for. So you go to IT, and you ask for a new one. IT revokes access of the original key, and gives you a new one. No one in that transaction cares if it

Weirdly for me Atlassian doesn't work when I have the spoof referrer enabled in about:config. Like why does referrer, a property that is a header, define whether my login is valid or not?

Double check that your DNS settings is correct. I'm on BT and it's working fine for me. I've previously used it on VM fine too.
