Denmark is the same. Only the smaller startups use Slack. Everyone one else is on Teams.

The stories presented are from an earlier era but maybe still relevant.

That is an inspiring read. I almost went down this path when I got laid off last. I still somewhat regret taking up a corporate job back then instead of focusing on something else. But then, I probably wasn't ready. Thanks for writing

The post is about the UK but I suspect it is the same in most European countries. Startups just don't make sense financially.

Are you me ? I wrote an exact program like this in GW Basic back in the day. I remember adding the ability to draw coloured lines but I had no way to verify since my computer monitor was one of those with green coloured pixels. Finally got

We've been a customer for long for some of out applications. It's a shame but I get their reasoning. The hosted postgresql market is getting crowded and it is difficult for a small shop to stand out.

Agree. I’m a Tesla owner and I bought it only for the super charger network. Living in Europe, every country I travel to can have different charging networks and so the Tesla network is one of the few that lets me drive on road trips withou

This is true. The early humans likely just ate one meal a day, and were moving a lot. They also ate when they got hungry and not necessarily when it's time for "lunch".

All the reviews and impressions of the Model Y, for me, fail to mention the fact that the seats are so uncomfortable. Is it just me ? In 2 years of owning the car, I've not been able to have a decently comfortable sitting position. May

I liked the points you've made. I've had the Model Y for about two years and the reason I still with it is actually the supercharger network and the ease of roadtripping. I hate having to depend on the third party charging network

I have a Model Y and depending on the speed limit, I cruise at 120-130 and stop every 200kms or so for a charge. I charge till about 80% or slightly lower when I stop.

I think this is a US only problem. People in the US probably take longer road trips than the rest of the world. When I take a Roadtrip, I need a 20 minute break every two hours anyway, and as far as I have seen that is enough for a charge f

I guess the idea is that the machine is not isolated. They are on the "Internet" and so is the rest of our infrastructure. Bad actors can and have already been able to infect grids and the like, but I think we'll just need to

I think it depends a lot from where one is moving from. I'd say moving from the Bay Area is actually a quality of life downgrade given the weather and tech salaries in general. The great thing about the US is opportunities. In Denmark,

We run a Cassandra cluster in production and its a pretty small cluster yet all that you mentioned seems to resonate. We do use Cassandra reaper to automate some of the tasks but no one wants to touch Cassandra in general in the team.
