As a pseudo executive, I think this is also a good perspective on what to expect from a meeting and avoid micromanaging problems.

Savings would not be significantly damaged if 1-1.5% in gains was missed on a $10,000 on a fossil fuel divested portfolio. That might be a significant overstatement of the differential. Disclaimer: 1-1.5% would make a big difference over ti

I would rather ride around on a Schwinn in a metro area that has been designed for human sized inhabitants to enjoy their lives; not based on segregation era rules and property tax avoidance.

The problem is that vaccines are not 100% effective even on people that receive them so that group of people could still get the disease and now there is a percentage of people not getting the vaccines at all and creating a greater opportun

Prior to my involvement in my current company, they were discussing setting up production in China. After my involvement in the company, I have no idea how they thought they could pull it off. For whatever reason, they did not do it. Rumor

One realization I had about the movie: the witch writes a message to Oz to send Dorothy. He immediately tricks her into going there; presumably to her death. Not a very good man.

My parents have one of these bastards growing against their house. We had no idea what it was until this story. They’ve cut it down twice, butchered the stump, given it a chemical bath. It is currently back at gutter height.

FYI, on iOS, you can just read the story with the reader view. You get to it by clicking on the horizontal lines on the left side of the address bar.

I’m on iOS. Never actually tried to look at source in iOS Safari. However, before getting there, I was able to read it just by clicking the reader view in the address bar.

Can’t read the article, but I did want to share that the title resonates with me. I love running and now run again, but I started learning swimming during a knee injury. One thing it re-taught me was how rewarding it is to learn or improve

I’m not a CPA or accountant. Investopedia has a few articles on the subject. I think capital losses can completely cancel any capital gains - kind of obvious if you think about it - if you lose $10 on sales of stock A and gain $10 on sales

Capital gains is added on top of regular income so if you had $450k regular income then $50k long term capital gains, $38,850 would be taxed at 15% and the remainder at the top rate of 20%

That scale would likely not be necessary in the U.S. Shenzen has a 50% larger population than New York and is like the 7-10th largest city in China.
