I looked long and hard at App Engine, but I wasn't able to use it as I needed to be able to accept file uploads that were larger than the upload limit on the App Engine load balancer. Otherwise it likely would have been my choice. I&#x

Terraform is great because it lets you treat infrastructure as code, but I don't think it makes any promises about cloud agnosticism. In fact it's the opposite, each provider is specific to the service that they are offering. Rath

I've just updated the post to make it clearer that I'm only talking about services that I used. GKE definitely looks promising, but I haven't used it so I can't give an opinion on it.

Just a note on Secrets Manager which you probably know, but is worth mentioning just in case: Secrets Manager charges per Secret, but if you are storing non AWS values (API keys), then you can put several secret values in one Secret. Not su

Terraform also lets you create abstractions via modules (admittedly with less flexibility than arbitrary code). I'm still not quite seeing the value proposition here over Terraform.

The title of this article is a bit misleading. Tesla is facing an accelerating rate of Model 3 deposit refunds. This is still not great, but as worded the title suggests people are unhappy with the Model 3's being delivered. The real

I’m not sure why you’d say that Hashicorp doesn’t like Google Cloud. I can think of recent partnerships between Hashicorp and Google on Vault and Terraform that are both substantial integrations. Google Cloud and Hashicorp both have people

I don’t think that many libraries were broken by Java 9. There was a bit of tooling, and ClojureScript required adding a module, but I haven’t come across any major broken libs yet. Let me know if you have examples I can add to my Clojure J
