So it sounds like you're a person who doesn't mind putting his family at risk to chase a dream that has horrible odds of coming true. The best part is: this risk is completely unnecessary. No other first world country puts this kind of ris

Could you please cite somewhere in the world where the free market is working for health care? Every other first world country either has socialized medicine or a tightly regulated health industry.

For someone who puts so much faith in free markets you don't appear to understand how they work. In your studies, look up "market elasticity" for a clue.

What are we discussing here? Do you not know the difference between elastic and inelastic markets? Health Care cannot ever be a free market because it is utterly inelastic.

You sound like a very vindictive person. How is society helped by Madoff sitting in jail? He should be working in McDonalds with 60% of his paycheck garnished. The mugger is the only one who belongs in jail, because he's violent.

>go to prison for a long time? Go to prison? Prison should be reserved for violent offenders. IMO, putting non-violent offenders in a pen with violent offenders is very clearly "cruel and unusual punishment".

You don't appear to be aware of what's going on in the US right now. I would also suggest reading what pg has to say about identity (and keeping it small).

There is no way to claim that back? To be honest with you, I worked in the US for over a decade and I consider everything I paid into SS a waste. If I end up keeping my citizenship (unlikely), by the time I would be able to draw it would

You're trying to get a green card? Do you realize that once you get it you're going to be responsible for filing tax returns as long as you have it, no matter where you actually live and work?

That's a part of it, but the biggest part is the deep discounts they get from suppliers due to the volumes they buy. No one else can get the prices they can and a lot of places end up basically supplying Walmart exclusively.

Walmart works the exact same way. But instead of pulling this "squeeze play" on a few components they do it on most things they sell.

I wonder how much longer it will take before americans get enough to take a stand about this. I suppose it would never reach critical mass with flying because not enough americans are flying to care, which is why I can't wait for TSA to fo

Of course companies have Non-Compete/Non-Disclosure laws. There is no law (afaik) that says a company can't try to make you think they have more rights than they do. Have you ever heard of anyone trying to enforce one? The only one I've

They have no copyright claim to anything you do in your free time. What possible legal precedent could there be for some company you happen to work for to own everything you produce in your personal time? Does that sound realistic to you?

Personally I would just ignore it. If your company owns what you do on their time and off their time that would mean you're a slave. Since slavery is almost certainly illegal where you live, I'd say you're pretty safe. They might be able
