I agree completely: I had meant to imply that the "professional" bit was necessary, but not sufficient. In therapy a wide range of topics can be explored, and more safely: when I first started therapy my motivations all had to dea

The reason there's a modern flat Earth movement is that technology has enabled people who are grossly underqualified to answer questions about the shape of the Earth fit each other. I'm curious to see what HN readers think of this

Maybe, but I'd rather a test suite that's designed to test hardware, rather than overloading some code's unit tests. I think most unit tests are best served by testing key values- e.g. values before and after any intended beh

At some point, your test switches from testing the code, to testing the machine the code runs on. That likely happens before 120 days.

Where/how did you check that? I am in my mid-30s and know several people who are my age and a bit older who like Stranger Things. I don't think real data on Netflix viewership is public, is it? My presumption is Netflix guards tha

And the motherboard? RAM? The pi is a whole computer built around a SoC. The 6502 is a CPU only. This $25 claim seems questionable.

A raspberry pi is $25 and far exceeds the home computer of the 80s and most of the home computers sold in the 90s. People pay more because they want more. If your goal is just learning how computers work, you have far cheaper options today.
