This would be a weird place to stop for someone trying to minimize their time executing searches and clicking. Having to navigate to the browser to launch a search for MDN Arrays from Vim is suboptimal. Alfred (OSX) is the best solution I c

You can get that behavior in iTerm2 by giving it a global hide/show hotkey and toggling non-Lion fullscreening on. The terminal appears everywhere whether you're in a fullscreen app or Mission Control.

I think that's exactly it. Explaining nifty Vim backflips is the wrong way to sell Vim. A 15 minute session of `vimtutor` was enough to enlighten me. If I had needed a proficiency in Vim to appreciate Vim, I would've never started.

Agreed, that's why I use Mailplane (OSX). It's just a wrapper around Gmail giving me easy account management and OS-level notifications while still letting me use Gmail.

I doubt it. I think it's safe to say that most people pine for social skills if they perceive they lack them. Perhaps controversial, but I'd wager that most of the time resentment towards a social concept like flirting is really just a cons

My love affair with Vim started after 15 minutes in `vimtutor` when the internet went out one day. o, O, A, I, dd, p, and a couple other commands were enough for me to be see the light and be productive. Everyone needs to give vimtutor a fa

Try Pentadactyl on FF. Made me switch from Chrome to FF for regular browsing. Unfortunately Chrome's limited api makes it impossible to port Penta's robustness to Chrome.
