There's a surface rabbit hole for regular rabbits, but if you follow it down, sometimes low-level rabbits have made another rabbit hole at the bottom which leads into their warrens. That's all though there's no third level.

My favourites are people who have some personal projects (finished or not) to show. They're usually more interesting and telling than open source contributions, though I definitely respect that.

The main problem I can see is entering your login in the web interface. I still use it though.

I'm not sure it's better, at least not in all cases. If you can reset your password or login without password using SMS, and you had a strong password, it could be worse.

Goat's dairy can be a bit of an acquired taste :). I drank goat's milk when I was young due to an allergy and I remember switching to cow's milk and it being yuck for a while. Love goats though, my grandma kept them, they are

I like your idea. Lots of people are willing to contribute something but it needs to be easier and (even superficially) give something in return. Core team interviews, roadmaps etc. It's more work but it could pay off. Not really relat

I see we will not agree, and this thread is mostly dead anyway, but for posterity: it sounds like you haven't installed mypy into the venv you're using. I can see how that would not work. I don't try and reference python scri

I have no idea how it could possibly guess, the whole point of turn signals is you use them before any other action.

There's truth in that, but it depends a bit how you install it. The OS packages are very reliable, and creating your own bundle (through a venv, or through something like pex) is pretty reliable too. (EDIT: talking about Python package

It's absolutely not required, I assure you. If you run the Python binary inside the venv you have the same environment as if you'd activated the venv, but only for that execution and not affecting your shell. Try making a venv, ru

A virtualenv is just a bunch of packages, you end up with the same thing whatever you want to call it. It is probably a more roundabout solution that it needs to be, but I don't find many problems myself (also using poetry).

I wonder if there are a load of failed submissions too. They'd want to minimise effort so I guess they'd have good ways to quickly rebranding an app as a new one.
