Most assets do both because most assets, most of the time, aren't really/severely* under- or over-valued. But in general, a moving average can help in determining when they were under/over valued. As a counter-example, an exa

In terms of market value, you can say a financial asset was overvalued at time X if it later decreases a lot in vale, and undervalued the other way around.

Why debt to market cap? Maybe debt to assets, debt to sales and EBITDA, but debt to market cap doesn't look very significant.

Making big sacrifices now to avert a disaster that is "only" forecast, but not yet tangible/certain in the mind of most people, is incredibly difficult everywhere, not just in India. To cite an example from Italy, everybody

When you use a credit card, you're not using your own money - you're borrowing the bank's money. It's perfectly legit for them to evaluate the risk associated with what you're using the borrowed money for.

What happens when a sober driver, following the rules, runs over someone? I suppose the same will happen here. If negligence will be found on the part of the engineers, that could get tougher though.

I have no idea how this will work out, but IIRC USD stayed at like 0.93 USD for a few months some time ago, and then went back to parity and then occasionally above parity.

In many ancient societies - and not few contemporary ones - tribalism was thoroughly accepted, as were tribal wars. I would say that having to justify the morality of a war, however many lies this brings about, is still a step forward.

The thing about placebo is that you can't measure it on yourself - you can only find out with large enough double blind tests. But as long as it works for you - placebo or not - good for you!
