CSS is a stopgap until the next styling technology comes along. The idea/implementation is correct but the technology is not. CSS is old tech based on old ideas. It still has its place but needs to be superseded.

I'm very much the opposite. My entire day is shifted forward a few hours so I'll generally wake around 5am, breakfast at 5.30. Lunch is around 11.30 and dinner at 5pm (latest 6). Bed around 8. I hate sleeping during daylight hours

Initial page load might be marginally slower, although it's not hard to thrown down the bare minimum and lazy load the rest, but every subsequent page load will be faster and much less intrusive. I'd say react is a perfect fit for

Jquery was a 'patch' to standardise js and the dom across browsers. It's no longer really needed because both native js and the dom have caught up.
