I like the idea of unique faces for doc and „tentative“ comments. However, after having used Iosevka, nothing comes close to its amazing italic face. It‘s so good. My dream font would be Berkeley Mono with Iosevka‘s italic.

YouTube‘s AI dubbing is truly awful. It took me 5 minutes to realize the audio I was hearing was coming from the video itself, and not some random ad in a different tab. I also don‘t like that video titles are shown translated. It‘s so weir

Wow, I had no idea elements with an id attribute are directly accessible in JS. Combine this with Pico CSS or one of those minimal stylesheets (Water.css) to get better typography and spacing and you‘re set. I guess htmx is the extreme vers

Why people continue to use SoundCloud is beyond me. As an indie musician they‘re completely unattractive. Bandcamp is superior. Is there another target audience?

Cool! Looks like the btop of debuggers. That‘s certainly a tool I would love to have.

I use shortcuts to quickly create a QR code for the page I‘m viewing in Safari. I also use it to delete old photos in my Photos library. And it‘s also useful for setting up „emergency contacts“ on my homescreen. You can make it call random

I don‘t think that text literally refers to the night sky. Most of Relevations describes things „to come“ and are communicated in signs / metaphors. See 1:1.

I believe this is also how active noise cancelling headphones work. Take audio, negate sample amplitude, playback with original at the same time. 1 + -1 = 0 aka. phase cancellation

The issue is: how well does Apple hardware integrate into business networks? Does it integrate with Active Directory?

That‘s my experience as well. The generated html docs can also be hard to read / understand. Zig 0.14.0 changed something about LazyPath (I think that‘s how it‘s called) and I had a hard time figuring out how to migrate.

Someone should write a „math notation for programmers“ article. Certainly would help me anyway.

Their mirrorless Z mount and lenses don‘t have mechanical drive. Neither do their official F-to-Z adapters - much to the chagrin of people using their older glass.

What slightly annoys me about JSON is that the order of object properties is defined to be irrelevant. { “hello“: 123, “world“: “foo“ } is the same as { “world“: “foo“, “hello“: 123 } If these two were semantically different, writing deseri

Your reaction is similar to mine. I was scratching my head when I read > So often we're asked to build something we've built before, so we estimate with confidence that it might take a week. I‘ve never built the same thing

I don‘t get it either. The only use case I can see is for programs that output basically a video feed in text form. A commenter in this thread mentioned sifting through log / debug output… but why wouldn‘t you pipe it to a file instead

Those are anonymous classes, if we‘re thinking of the same thing. Java also supports named classes bound to a method‘s scope (local classes).

I actually find compound literals quite pleasing, visually. Parentheses, brackets and braces I find can help a lot in guiding your eyes though code. They make it more „regular“, or lessen the „entropy“ (physicists, please don‘t stone me). F
