Wait but what if the founder believes that long hours do in fact get you ahead? What if that is part of what they actually did to get where they are today? Should they lie about it?

I think this is the generally accepted and obvious view, but there seems to be a push from several popular personalities to virtue signal against it in the name of better working conditions. In the process they are accusing startup founders

I agree and regarding 3) would you put most startup founders into this bucket? In reading Peter Thiel Zero to One I was struck by his point that real power law focus in a startup means you're doing something new, thus "The Search&

Reading location via GPS is passive with no outbound data transmission. As Apple explained, in line with the Apple engineer's prior response, there is a reason why this is not a privacy leak. It does not transmit the geo data off of th

For me this edit while writing habit developed in school because I didn't enjoy using a pencil and multiple drafts meant hand writing the entire paper over and over. For this reason I trained myself to make the first draft the final dr

I agree there’s a business here, but will walled gardens let the solution work optimally? Apple locks down their phone and messaging apis so that nobody can use them.

Can you imagine if this is just a bug and you're the engineer that caused it? I'm thinking it might be a bug because the emoji is still available on the system through other means.

Would love to see something like this done in augmented reality so you point it at a chess board and it gives you info about the game in progress.

Google only scrapes sites that allow it by their robots.txt file so I don’t think their policy is as hypocritical as you are making it sound.

Not discounting this story, but I’d like to point out that raising concerns is a personal protective strategy for any cyber staff. If you constantly raise concerns that you know cannot or will not be resolved, you have created a paper trail

You're right of course, but I wonder if the status quo were to suddenly change so that banks are liable, would credit suddenly restrict and cause a recession or worse?
