Seems very buggy. I wasn't able to figure out how to drag a box to select multi objects. Tried Alt-drag, and it resized in a weird way I wasn't able to control very well, and then the canvas was stuck to the mouse pointer with no

Try reloading the page. There's a (pointlessly animated) video right on the front page that shows exactly what it does. Direct link: https://withfig.com/video/final.mp4

My first exposure to Unix was RiscBSD, which was netbsd/arm26 running on a RISC PC. Installed from a pile of floppies downloaded at school. Eventually I got an old Elonex 386 that I could install Slackware on, and with a bit of coax I

Not sure how useful that save thing is in practice. Great for dragging into other apps, but to save to disk you still had to navigate through the filesystem anyway, just outside of the application.

I see a lot of convoluted CSS things like this. Is there not much awareness of SVG in the webdev community, or is there some other reason people don't want to use it?

That order has been used since the dawn of time. Well, since the dawn of graphics. I'm surprised at the author's surprise and I find it a little concerning.

They both make sense for their respective use cases. An image has a fixed size. An HTML element does not necessarily. You can't measure the the right border from the left of an element if you don't know how big it is.

This stringified approach loses type safety and IDE assistance for what benefit? Why do we want it to look like SQL? A Slick/Quill-like approach seems much safer.

Why is state management such a talked-about issue with React? Other than distributed state, which obviously comes with its own set of challenges, managing state doesn't seem to be an issue with any other language, framework or platform
