I would have tried it, but it wanted me to create an account. For an Asteroids game tech demo. Why not just ask for a name?

Funny thing: I keep getting left and right mixed up since I moved from the UK to the US. It's as though my subconscious understanding of "left" was always "the side cars drive on". Flipping that also flipped the wor

Seems like the curse of the 80/20 rule. Cars that can drive themselves, monitor their surroundings using cameras, react to unpredictable moving obstacles etc are pretty impressive. That's the 80%. The other 20% is about things lik

Does it matter if they don't end up doing something they'd enjoy if they end up doing a different thing they enjoy? People talk like writing software is the greatest, most fulfilling job in the world, and if someone misses out on

Google Voice just used to use data to set up a PSTN call. Has something changed?

In what way is it "more sophisticated"?

What actually happened here? They had working prototypes. The tech seemed sound, and not at all vaporware. Then it suddenly went quiet. I always thought CastAR would be great for flight simulators with physical controls and instruments.

More like physics than networking. I was hoping for more about what goes on between light and IP, but all I learned is that SONET/SDH is considered old school now.

If you're using external flash rather than on-die flash, doesn't that mean you'll have to copy it into RAM before running it instead of running it directly, and therefore more RAM will also be part of the extra cost?

I think in C the temporary will be optimized away. I keep meaning to test this in C++. I presume that it would for fundamental types, but wouldn't be able to be objects, because the side effects of that operation could be in another mo

What is the purpose of webcasts? Why not just post a video? I presume it's not interactive Q&A -- too many people would be watching.

How? If they went from 18.5" to 17", they'd need to have had more than 11 seats already for that to make room for another seat.

What about a shared whiteboard, though? That's the one thing I'm missing at the moment. Using one of those with a couple of nice graphics tablets would be great.

If you're listing a bunch of URL patterns and you're not describing your media types, you almost certainly don't have a REST API, so why even call it that? It's an HTTP API. What do you have against calling it that?

What's the goal of reducing the width of seats? The cumulative reduction can't be enough to fit in another seat, even on a wide body aircraft.

I agree, except for the www ligature. It just looks odd to only have part of a domain name compressed.
