It's certainly not the same as it was in 1999 when I begun using IRC, but I don't entirely miss anything. I realize that most of the "feeling" is just me being nostalgic. I'm happy with what IRC is and offers today,

Everything in excess of £1000 from my monthly salary I move to a separate plain savings account without any bells or whistles, and the £1000 is what I spend on a month's living; rent, bills, food, pleasures. The end.

Fun story, thanks for sharing! Is it correct that it was around the year 1997 that you were using your Commodore 64 with a tape deck to get into computers? You mention that the college was using Windows 2000 and VNC setups, and that you wer

Interesting bug observed in 19.07 by users of some routers: the unit will perpetually boot into failsafe mode despite not being triggered to do so. Recompiling with the failsafe module removed from the build solves the problem, but exposes

I understand your perspective, but I think it's GREAT that it targets Arm. If anything finally can and finally should replace x86/64, to usher in a new era of power-efficient computing, it should be Arm.

"App player". That's a really curious term. Is there any chance this will run on 64-bit Arm cores in the near future? I may have gotten the wrong impression, but from the past few years that I've perused the market of Ar

This means that every citizen - including the 40% of the population who are aged 14 or younger - planted 3.5 trees each. To me it seems like a stretch to get even one in five citizens aboard a national project.

Choline is very common in vitamin B12 supplements, which most vegans - assuming they aren't the poorly educated lifestyle type of vegan - know they need to supplement unless they want to make algae and seaweed staples of their kitchen.
