As a Canadian, I think a big part of it is that elections (both federal and provincial) can often be battles for the suburbs surrounding metropolitan areas. Suburbs often end up being kingmakers (see 2015, 2019, and 2021 federal elections o

The video's worth a watch! It's really interesting to hear him talk about the history of the various machines, especially with respect to Eastern Bloc economies/culture. Sad that the museum is gone now, though!

I'd be interested in hearing your opinion on a different alternative, given you probably have better insight into the game's difficulty than I do. I think fans appreciate a sense of "fairness" [1] from Elden Ring and i

I really appreciated a GDC talk from one of the designers of _GoldenEye 007_ who was very critical of auteur theory. [1] He seemed very understanding of the multifaceted nature of big games. [1] https://m.youtube.com/watch?v

I sometimes wonder if UI/UX passes on open-source tools would be better with very explicit "experimental forks" that keep with upstream when they can. Over time, the successful fork starts to get more traffic from regular use

Hey sorry, for the late followup. I was getting compile/link errors related to Google Services dependencies. I think this is one of those situations where it's GPL-licensed, but not necessarily the most accessible.

I found the source code for the synth here on GitHub[1], but it doesn't look like they advertise it on their site? It seems to be compiling/linking fine on Pop!_OS, but I had to do some apt trial/error to ensure the right pac

Super cool to see the paper! Given that some of the authors are in Montreal (a large video game development hub), do you think you'd ever continue this path with primary research?
