And? This is Apples business MO for nearly 40 years. I don’t see any piece of Apple hardware there. The Shield in your setup is superfluous, no? Apple is a hardware company - they need you to buy at least something for that HT setup. I mean

They aren’t - denon and marantz merged. Poster was just suggesting D&M could have acquired them. But given the overall stagnation in the receiver market I agree it think wouldn’t have benefited anyone. The market segment for Onkyo just

It’s entirely limitations of Apple Airplay that are known and not new. Whether it’s Apples fault - I mean Airplay does what it says it does. Anybody that cares about would simply not use Airplay. If you want to use Apple Music then the best

Twister the movie? That came out in 1996. You're off by about a decade and a half. Perhaps this is more that 1996 is around the time you were old enough to know/care about these things? Dolby Surround was always a consumer product

By the time surround sound was brought about in the 80s, Dolby was already a pretty well recognized brand and the Double D symbol associated with noise reduction on audio cassettes. And it's doubtful whether Dolby would have been aroun

Indeed, was not ragging on your comment. The opposite… now that cassettes are hipster Hi-Fi these days for some dumb reason. Compact cassettes were a fantastic design and set of engineering compromises for their time - a time that has long

NR is noise reduction. It’s the thing that made Dolby a household name: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolby_noise-reduction_system SNR is signal to noise ratio.

Even with a standard bias tape, with a halfway non shitty deck one could do a little bit better than that though. Linear VHS audio which this clearly is (on an aged tape) has especially bad SNR and response, much worse than a compact casset

That’s not dataflow analysis. It looks like a cast similar to something like in C# ie: if (foo is string as foo) where the “as foo” scoped variable is implicit. It’s basically implicitly redefining the variable with limited scope. Type guar

No. In the US standard housing purchase agreements are drawn up contingent on financing - and standard bank financing has a lot of hoops and procedure to go through - it usually takes at least a month and of course it may fall through. Duri

Also Ethernet to bridging MoCA does add on about 3-5ms of latency round trip. Whether this is of any concern is another thing, it probably isn’t for most - but it is something to know.
