It doesn't matter, a datacenter can always be repurposed for their own internal product lines. To be perfectly honest, i would rather go with a company that provides cloud as one of their main products rather than a company that has it

I think their problem was the minimum heap size, thats why they have 10Gb sitting doing nothing, as the GC only doubles/halves its size in go. The way a gaming engine would do it would be to disable the GC and allocate a large chunk of

AWS is expensive for what it is. I really don't understand the hype machine around what they provide, since openstack has been around for a few years.

I've built a few different types of search engines over the years. The first attempt was in 1999, i built a meta search engine using coldfusion.. I didn't have any server to run it on so it was on my dialup running locally. Worke

I've had my own dreams while awake, the key is to stay aware while you are going to sleep.. Everyone knows the state between sleeping and awake, its great. But to go to sleep while still conscious, is like advanced meditation. I'

I just wonder if he could have bootstrapped the php's internal php lexer to parse the source. Most of the symbols are the same.

Some great points about go: If you don't use it, remove it (compiler checks to see if a variable / module import is actually used) The real pleasure in go vs c/c++ is compiling / linking is easy with the new go modules s

Bigger messages to learn from this: Build for platforms, don't build in a vacuum. Ie. Use an existing battle-tested framework if you can. And.. Use existing subsystems if they already exist instead of reinventing the wheel.

Isn't it kind of pointless anyway: a large corporation with vast resources creating a cryptocurrency, why don't they just make their own bank?

I would rather deal with that than a project with millions of classes which are mostly empty full of useless comments that tell you nothing about how the project is put together.
