The article says that most people don't shut off broadcasting the SSID on their router because it's too much hassle. Really? The option on mine took less than a minute to turn off. Then once I set up the machines I use, they connect automat

AOL is a joke of a company. Watching them pivot and pivot with no real sense of vision is like watching a headless chicken running around. It's great fun, but the fact is that death is coming very soon and nothing will change that. AOL migh

I understand that Apple is a very important company to Cupertino, but I've never need a city counsel so lovestruck at a meeting. They should just give him a rubber stamp for whatever he wants to do.

As a .onion site, the silk road is not subject to US jurisdiction. I understand that Sen. Chuckles want's it shut down, but it won't happen. The nature of the internet makes sites like this virtually impossible to stop.

Since Steve is intimately involved, I think this will be the approved biography, but not the definitive. Steve has a way of spinning things to show him in the best light. For example, I very much doubt that this book will cover why he ignor

I've said this before and I'll say it again: Sony is facing a highly skilled group of hackers that have made it their mission to ruin the company. If you have sensitive data with any of Sonys products, I'd advise you to delete it ASAP. This

My concern with this is heat. If you have 75% utilization in a mobile device, most turn into briquettes. They're impossible to hold. I wonder how NVIDIA plans to address that.

The true power of Shakespeare's vocabulary isn't in the variety of the words he used but how he used them. I'd imagine that having a complex rhyming scheme and creating original content in iambic pentameter isn't easy and the fact he pulled

Why are you still bashing the CueCat? Yes, it was ugly, and yes they messed up the marketing, but it created the QR codes we see today. Sometimes, things are before their time and they get mocked unfairly for it. For example, Nikola Tesla d

Now that HTC has committed to removing locked bootloaders, it's only a matter if time before all other android handset makers have to follow suit. This is a very good thing for the cellphone industry, and tech in general.
