Just replying to your last point: sugar and carbohydrates make you fat more than anything else. To fix that, most successful diets rely on increasing the ratio of protein you eat (wether it's fish, meat or poultry). It gets you to the

Since meat is seen as unhealthy nowadays, most people who still eat lots of it also tend to be part of the "don't care about health" crowd (smokers, drinkers, people who don't exercise...). What if don't drink, don&

I’m a 31yo heavy meat eater. Pretty shocked that we’re in the process of making these vegetable oil compounds go mainstream. I feel like an old man who doesn’t want to get with the times. I did not see it coming.

Thanks, I didn’t realize that. I guess that’s why Dorsey wanted to create an open protocol that would be free from these.

Facebook should really come down from their high horses and let legal entities decide of stuff like this. They're a utility. (not saying that in a bad way, becoming a utility is the ultimate startup achievement)

Alarm clocks have always felt painful to me : an unnecessary burden to start the day with. Luckily, I haven’t needed to used one since I finished school, as I’ve been either freelancing or running my own business. It does wonders to my ener

Wouldn't the death of tailored advertising hurt early-stage startups a lot (caveat: I'm one of them)? When you're a tiny operation, you can't spend millions on a broad fishing net and hope somebody will match your ideal

The flip side: the doomsday prediction that everybody will know how to code one day will likely not happen. Yay! My skill set is gonna remain valuable for a while :)

Wow, I’ve taken the exact same path. Started in 2006, learned everything I could, and lost joy gradually over the past few years. I’ve left my last front end job behind a couple years ago and launched my startup. Now front-end is just a tin

Always loved the simplicity of iCloud passwords. Now we need a desktop app ala onepasword for everything that happens outside of the browser.

Reading "Crossing the Chasm" now. In it, the author talks about "innovators": the very first consumer group that one needs to convince to conquer a market. He describes them as the following: "they think all technol

I can't shake the feeling that Apple would trade their ethical standards for Facebook's in a minute if it made sense to them financially. I'd love to see them enforce privacy in an area where it costs them something.

It seems to me that the value of advice is not to get people to change their behavior right now, but rather to plant a seed in their mind that will make it easier for them to grow in the future. For example, before founding my startup, I re

I wouldn’t pick flutter since it’s so new and you’re wanting to get to production. I assume you will end up having to spend a lot of time figuring out how to do simple things. You also won’t have the benefit of community established best pr

There is no silver bullet when it comes to programming. No matter how simple a new framework promises to make things, you end up having to learn as much as with any other to achieve a non-trivial result. When I realized this, I started look
