I was referring to the over-the-top woke stuff that made it hard to believe at times. But yeah it's no guarantee. Ideally she shouldn't have control, just veto power.

now the real question is: is it more than the number of new accounts created on twitter?

The contrarian approach generates free marketing and serves as a filter to pain-in-the-ass clients who will nitpick about everything. Well played.

I'm pleasantly surprised that J.K Rowling will have creative control over this. Hopefully this won't be as bad as the Ring of Power series.

Looks awesome but the fact they copied the same webdesign style of Apple puts me off. Why not come up with their own?

I could find you similar articles saying that Steve Jobs wanted to hit back at Apple because he was mad at them, and merely used the tech reason as an excuse. I think you’re right though, I don’t know for a fact that that’s true. Nobody can

Elon musk’s behavior seems crazy only when you believe his goal is to win by building the best product for its users. But I don’t think that’s what he’s trying to do right now. Instead, he understands that the main asset of twitter is ownin

The article doesn’t say that he abandoned anything, and I’m glad. VR has huge potential but needs big companies like Meta to spend billions on R&D until it hopefully becomes mainstream.

I built my startup 4 years ago with a combination of react + aws + gatsby + hasura. I thought this would be great for performance and scale. Fast forward to today, I spend at least 2x as much time to code a feature than if I had just stuck

Really appreciate your comment, and I agree 100%. I’m trying to figure out what was so magical about the course that I can apply to a more regular product startup. The fact that it sells logos is just how it is now, but what other things co

I view coding as creative work not that different from writing or drawing. Sure there are techniques and rules to follow, but to do great work you need to get in the flow of things until your creative brain figures stuff out on its own. It

thanks for the meme appreciation :D. Yeah I think some people confuse copycats with competitors: - Copycats who just flat out copy your design / messaging / landing page: that's something to complain about - Someone doing a p

It is! And especially when you’re the dev type and not necessarily a natural at promoting yourself… Building the audience took about a year and a half. But what made it easier is that I didn’t set out to build it just to sell the course, it

That’s a very good point. And that’s actually a third thing I learned from selling this course: selling people the outcome works better than selling the product. One of the reasons why my startup isn’t there yet is because I focus too much

I’m bootstrapping a startup and in parallel also released a course 6 months ago (unrelated to startups or making money, FYI). After 4 months, the course had made more profits than the startup in 3 years. It has also taken less time to buil

Agree it’s a long shot but they had no experience in heath before the Apple Watch yet they pulled it off. And they have the number one platform for mobile games with iOS, so they’ll get devs on board.

Sure. But could also mean abusing discord to generate more images than allowed and crash the server? They didn’t state deepfake so it could be a couple of things.

People living in the suburbs would be happy to take the subway to the city if it was clean, safe and not full of random homeless crazy people. I’m all for making cities pedestrian only, but you also need to build a comfortable way to go the

you’re spot on that A.I could commoditize indie hacking. The problem with many indie hackers is that they just build products to have fun and try to make a quick buck. They take a basic idea and run with it, adding one more competitor to an
