I really feel for Hector. Open source can be brutal, especially with larger and well established projects. I contribute to several projects as a well recognized person in my field, not at their scale, but everything they say rings true. Est

I think you’re correct. Ideology rarely affects brand penetration this much. Whenever I talk to people in Europe , they always talk about the other options. Tesla is just not competitive there as a brand. I do hope that one outcome of this

Unfortunately, Apple’s RAM and Storage upgrade prices are very in line with other class comparable OEMs. I’m sure there’ll be some amount of undercutting but I don’t think it’ll be a huge difference on the RAM side itself.

Most definitely not easy to solve because battery packs are a structural component of the car with variances in how they are charged/cooled etc, and as such would also then require standardized electrical+cooling and standardized body

Faster refueling is definitely a big one but the refueling state for hydrogen is abysmal. That’s after significant government and corporate funding.Toyota would need to be like Tesla and really bootstrap their refueling infrastructure for t

Your theory ignores that Toyota pushes Hybrids over both Hydrogen and BEV. Hybrids are more complex than either BEV or ICE. Your point about ICE being lower maintenance also has some issues. BEV have way fewer moving parts and therefore req

Can you back up your assertion? I can go out and buy a BEV at most common price points compared to ICE vehicles, so it’s definitely not a luxury for the wealthiest. Even in very low income countries, there are now EV autorikshaws / tuk

This has to be Toyota’s biggest and weirdest hang up. The insistence that hydrogen cars are a viable future, and the lobbying against full BEV just feels like they’re constantly digging their heels in on something that they can’t actually p

Rosetta supports 32 bit apps. I've read conjecture on here that the removal of 32 bit was due to unresolvable pointer security issues on their 32 bit SDK, which was different than how its done with their 64 bit system.

This article is pure conjecture and doesn’t have anything to back up the title beyond “these brands also happen to use mediatek” and making a tenuous link between their Chromebook products and the Digit system.

That’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying that the people buying this aren’t going to shift their bottom line in any kind of noticeable way. They’re already sold out of their money makers. This is just an entrenchment opportunity.
