From my limited understanding of startups, that's quite normal. I'd suggest first trying to really 'get' that it's perfect just the way it is. No really, it's perfect. And it's perfect that you want to do something about it. Then you will b

That evokes some interesting feelings. While I'm ready to let go of being the 'uber-hacker' in favor of, you know, life, I still want to be among the elite, or at least do something big and great before I settle in to the bigger picture of

I hope that you are quite typical, otherwise I've wasted quite a lot of time on mobile sites. - Well, wasted in terms of profit, but I suppose even then it's better to give the customers a better experience.

That's quite useful to know. I theorise that the mobile transactions would just move to desktop if the users can't use it on their phone. Have you got enough data to check that theory out?

That's good advice. Not the CV, couldn't give a rats, I build every project in the language I think it should be built in, but basically because some people I respect say it's cool, and I'll never know if I don't learn it. I'm not so keen

Hm. Ok. I will. I don't even know what 'purely functional' looks like. That sounds like a much bigger and less boring stretch. Thanks!

Now that's something I can get excited about! How did I manage to forget (again) that the language can and does exist outside of the framework. I've got a Raspberry PI... I can totally make something rubyish on it.

Nice post! I am pretty sure that was the downfall of one a startup I hacked for. Then they went the complete other way and didn't care about their customers at all. Guess how that went? You're totally right that it's a balance.
