Having worked in finance 16 years, I do not understand this fuss about semantics - "ramen", "beer", "sushi" ... profitable. For starters, for any business, let's look at the numbers: - market size, market share, market dynamics - gross &

Technical analysis chart looks cool, i.e. like a real one. What lib did you use for charting? Excellent idea - shall indulge some folks, if you go the app way. Better kill time with this than some MonsterCatJumpingDrawing app...

Well, in my specific case, I am OK with money - 10 VPS ~ $200-600 per month. You spend more on a couple of trips to supermarket. I don't have time and 15 years of programming under my belt.

I wonder what are the benefits of setting G-WAN versus 2-3 nginx with 10-15 gunicorns behind it? In the latter case you have proven software that is easy to set-up and scale. If need more, then : - add more nginx/more gunicorns - add haprox

I saw that some comments pick-up on VCs being adamant on founder's nervousness and such. Probably, OP should have mentioned different pointers, but still I think that such comments are missing an important point of this post by Josh - hones

/Get the App/ button is a bit confusing. I wanted to look at the app in the AppStore, and pressed the button, but :-) no iTunes on my Ubuntu... Also, the app is not available in other countries except US. I would suggest - may be have two

Bought it, use it, enjoy it. Wishlist - some habits may require several tasks during the day. For example "Drink 5 glasses of water" - would be great to schedule 5 micro-events during the day with possibility to cross those.

LXC - Is LXC friendly with IDS/IPS and alike? - If I place a webserver or a database in a container - what would be the implications in terms of set-up? - Networking? How it would interact with iptables? iptables only on host, or it is poss

Do you know how LXC is compared vs OpenVZ and vs VServer? I am considering to use one of those for securing / hardening a set of VPSs I am using. Since I do not have debt with any of these tools, I would like to start with just one. The que

Why didn't you use PG 9.1 / 9.2 with new kernel? Also, why old Mongo? Would love to see benchmarks of most recent stable.

It is usually possible to do for any type of position [not only developers] if you make a deep-dive interview, asking a lot of open questions (how? why? etc) to understand the operating motto of a person. Drawback - it may take up to 1.5-2.
