Not related to the article content directly but... > THE PAGE YOU REQUESTED IS LOADING When I see this type of disingenuous interstitial I close the tab. Is it just me?

Really hope this goes somewhere for the developers, I much prefer the paid model (I pay for Fastmail for example) and would certainly consider paying for a really good app/service. As someone else mentioned, they would do well to at least c

This does not surprise me. I currently am legally entitled to watch several dozen movies, and quite a few TV shows on iTunes, I suppose I've spent about £500 over the years. Here's the problem. I cannot transfer any of these legally purchas

I like to think of Github as Facebook, Bitbucket as Google+. I use Bitbucket all the time (and love it), but it doesn't have the social network for whatever reason.

I love Go and continue to play with it, glad to see another story. I have to say I always thought Disqus were a cool team, I have been doing websites for over a decade and whenever I needed a comment system they were the first choice. It wa

I'm just gonna put this out there, could the reason they would not implement Google Authenticator be simply because some suit didn't want people thinking Google+ was in charge of their authentication or something? I hope not, but of all the

This is just wrong, without CSS3 Flat UI would be limited to plain squares and rectangles, even if you hate the style you must at least admit there is a lot more to Flat UI than that.

I've been using Fastmail for about 2 months now. I much prefer it overall, but it is incorrect to say it has all the features of Gmail. It has just about enough of the right features that I want though, so no real issues there. The interfac

Right I see what you're saying, looks like I misread the article a bit. For me it would be an ideal implementation if there could also be some callback functionality, that way it doesn't just have to redirect to a login url the logic can be

You wouldn't need to have the header point to a log in page though, you would just have the server handle the post request sent from the browser (or plugin).

Why not have both? If the browser is capable (theoretically) of handling logins from an http header this would be awesome in my opinion. Personally I would much rather have the browser be responsible for logins after seeing more and more fo

CodeIgniter is basically dead now. It was great especially the documentation, I built many websites with it. Laravel seems to be the best choice for PHP frameworks, or just use Slim Framework. As for EE, never used it, the price tag was jus

Any food, be it natural or manmade, is made up of chemicals. You will need to avoid foods which contain water if you don't want chemicals in your food. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H2o Or just avoid food entirely. http://en.wikipedia.org

I just don't get this. Well done for open sourcing the client, but on the front page the product is touted as fully open source so it can be audited, but the client is only half the product (arguably less) so security cannot be audited. The

Sound advice but maybe a bit too discouraging. It is true a lot of people seem to think it is all about the body not the glass, a classic mistake, but to say avoid the kit lens at all costs is perhaps a bit too far. I have a 350D, pretty ol

I would mostly agree with you that flat design is a new style if we limit the context to only web/application GUI's. No one can really disagree that flat design is an already historically established visual aesthetic in the real world. So t

I understand where you're coming from but dismissing it as a 'thing' is a bit cynical. I disliked the whole 'web 2.0' look, it was garish and rarely had any relation to things in real life. With more designers embracing the flat aesthetic,
