Seems like most of the research on that is inconclusive. There's not much evidence one is much more readable than the other. http://alexpoole.info/blog/fighting-bad-typography-research/ https://en.

Interestingly enough, all transit staff are trained to be conductors in cases when the automated system doesn't work. It recently snowed which incorrectly triggered the "something is on the track" sensors causing the entire s

This is very common. It's an easy way to improve accuracy on a model with a fixed amount of data. They typically crop the image as well as rotate and scale it in order to get a larger data set. It does make the model more robust, but d

Tensorflow has supported quantization for a long time (and is recommended for mobile devices) so it very likely is.

It might be a tad annoying, but the rest of Tensorflow uses Bazel so it makes sense that Tensorflow Lite also uses it. It also probably matches the internal Google workflow better since Google uses Blaze internally.

They already allow you to target groups like that. The algorithm doesn't leak anything more.

It's obnoxious that Wired styled their AMP page like that, but it's not a problem with AMP itself.

Pretty sure they provide an IRC interface, but almost certainly don't use IRC internally. There's almost no way they could support any of their fancier features using IRC. Reactions etc would be horrible to implement.

Did you consider trying NewSQL DBs that would let you scale horizontally with much less complexity? Curious to see if the performance is comparable yet.

What happens when you have to enter "with" something an arbitrary number of times? That gets very painful.

I'm pretty sure the wireless tap is some form of challenge response/one time password so it's probably not a huge issue. It's not like they can make unlimited purchases just by reading it. It's slightly more secure

What kind of memory management do you need that Go doesn't provide? It's not too hard to write Go to minimize allocations (and most short lived allocations end up on the stack anyways unlike other languages [1]). If you really nee

Guess specification might be a less controversial term. Just saying that it's strictly defined, and easier to implement alternate native renderers for (eg Safari's reader) than raw HTML.

Quite a few notable sites have implemented AMP support as well as there being alternative AMP caches (eg Cloudflare). I'd say that it falls under being "adopted by multiple major parties."

AMP is a standard. If anything it should be easier to convert into a reader view than just arbitrary HTML. It'd be easy to add support into Safari, they just haven't bothered.
