These routers are crap. Anyone who cares a tiny bit about their wireless connectivity won't buy this. And I don't think OpenWRT wants to associate their name with "low-quality" routers.

Slightly off-topic: it seems that Outlook has given up fighting spam and isn't even in such conversations. I have a decades-old hotmail.com email address that is getting spams daily in the inbox, while a similarly old gmail.com almost

Similar story: I managed to run a Windows XP-era game to run on Ubuntu but not Windows 11. The issue is that the game uses some sort of Direct3D which doesn't work on Windows 10 or later. I don't want to install Windows XP/7&

There are many applications that don't yet provide prebuilt packages for linux on ARM. I guess it's not a problem for open source applications (since you can always build from source yourself) but doesn't work for proprietary

Exactly, my company have a similar setup and I don't think people have trouble figuring out which tool to use or how they work with each other. Nino seems to try to solve a problem that hardly exist.

I'd think these criminals must have a way to "properly" do money laundering without getting caught too easily, e.g. sending to an account they control that can't really be tracked down to a person, cashing out in a count

Once your application is complex and reactive enough, has a certain amount of JavaScript code and gets used by enough people, you will inevitably run into compatibility issues. Then you realize you cannot just rely on a random browser versi

Yeah everyone says that and stops there which is absolutely useless. Benchmarks are at least objective ways to measure something . And there are no "correct" benchmarks. Unless you have better metrics or another way to prove thin

You comment shows that you have no practical knowledge of the web ecosystem, and everything you know about it comes from all the blog articles that contributes nothing that's useful in real world use. The reality is that web is fast e

These things pop up here every once in a while. And they have existed since at least early 2000s, but I have never ever seen this kind of thing getting any more traction than "oh this looks cool", or seen or known anyone (software

Apple fans would say tightly coupled software and software is why Apple products are better than competitors. I don't fully agree but I can see the point.

No real change is going to happen. Out of all the mobile phone users out there, likely no more than 0.1% will ever consider installing alternative OS on their phone, even if allowed by law. Just look at the size of the custom ROM community

Not trying to contradict what your say, but my experience from a few years ago was: * If you don't use a super popular model, you would have very few choices for custom ROMs * Often custom ROMs are still at the mercy of original manufa

Windows and Android both come with a "built-in" browser: Windows still ships Internet Explorer for rendering some old components, although I think they are moving to Edge (chromium) based web view. I can't find a better sourc
