Hopefully! Nice to hear something optimistic about Europe. As a Pole still remembering passports and closed borders, I definitely hope we manage to build unified Europe, even with setbacks we face.

That’s a false argument. Pretty much every employee is productive enough to be living a decent life. The same can’t be said about their bargaining power.

Let me help you - iPad is the ultimate content consumption device. It’s by far my favorite electronic device and by far the most used. I work on my computer, I communicate on my phone, but I relax on my iPad. Internet browsing, shopping, wa

Sure, the only real limitation inside the processor is the number of addressing bits if I remember correctly. However, in case of laptops I think it doesn't matter since they're kind of sold as a platform. The main point was - it

Processors have RAM limit as well, independent of vendor. https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/75992/i... Look at "Memory specification" part.

It's hard for people to be creative under pressure. Half the work in management of software companies is managing employee stress so they can do their work efficiently. My point is precisely that to get creativeness, you have to create

That's good though. That means they have to invest in R&D instead of depending on exploiting cheap labour to brute-force their way into the market. If they invest in R&D, they need creative people who are up to date. Such peopl

I do not think this is the case anymore. I have seen driving schools ads promising you can take the test on their cars(still not your own, but at least the one you got used to during training).

This is not the best example. In Polish for example there is a whole different word for ‘0’ floor ( parter ), and the word for the rest of floors ( piętro ) kind of assumes that level is above ground, so we do use 1 based indexing there.

I agree that you do not need to read books, but books are a good proxy for demanding content. If I count articles, the short texts from some gossip portal are valued as much as Harvard Business Review, science journal or whatever else, but

I think the problem is wider. In Poland average Pole doesn't read even one book a year. I don't think we can keep having modern society if most of the people do not read.

Strongly disagree. Why of software engineering is to formalise business processes so they can be replicated and automated. The code is most definitely "how" we get there.

That’s more dependent on language syntax IMO. When you have traditional C-style loops, maybe. When you use ranges, iterators etc. it doesn’t make any difference.

That solely depends on your use case. There are three reasons to use command line and none of them has anything to do with being easier: 1. It's faster. You can(and will after some time) remember hundreds of different commands. That me

You repeat the previous content without any example on how they are better. To you it seems that not having to use command line is an advantage. To me it's not, making your argument moot.

And do you have any proof of that? Because in my humble opinion, the command line is great solely because keyboard is (up to now) the best input device we have invented. Any graphical tool requires eye-hand coordination, which slows things

You do realize some of us use command line not because we have to, but because it’s usually easier to do so?

Diesels are much more economical than petrol. Whether it is cost efficient depends on yearly mileage and how good a deal you get, but it’s a fact. My diesel E Class with 4 wheel drive burns considerably less fuel than my previous petrol Gol
