Curious as well, since whatever you do not like about Apple Pay, it actually works very well (not a single issue I had).

I think it’s more about living more in a literary world than in a real one. As a person with book worm tendencies, I understand quite well how it can be harmful.

Otherwise you let Putin have Ukraine and basically show your ass. We’re all afraid of nukes, but that fear can’t make us allow for everything. I am a Pole as well and also very uncomfortable. I also believe Nato should intervene in Ukraine.

Phil Spencer is my favorite executive. His work since he had taken over has been splendid and I like his calm manner of discussing competition. He doesn’t make it into war. He seems like a genuinely nice guy and I am happy to see him succee

Nope, one million is 10k a year per employee. That’s low even in Poland and definitely well, well below Polish IT, and Europe in general makes a fraction of SV salaries. Those numbers are a bad match.

Reducing amount of sleep is the dumbest idea ever that I fell victim too as well. It's never about reducing sleep, is about making sure you rest properly. It takes what it takes, if you fight your body, it will fight you back (and make

And? Due to power-law distribution that 0.1 % holds disproportional amount of riches. I really don’t get that people talk about rising income inequality all the time, but actually noticing it (i.e. very strong minority holding many assets)

Most people suck at naming things. Also, most companies don’t have a strong culture for choosing names carefully. Honestly, I agree with you on the good variable names, but in average team setting I prefer no names than bad ones.

I’d like to add here that the biggest fallacy is assuming rich pay income tax at all, which leftists across the world all seem to universally believe. I would argue that in 21st century the definition of rich is actually „achieves most of h

If inflation means measuring value of money over time, substitution is not correct. You could substitute before - you just didnt, because it was not necessary. With a measure you describe we can slide into poverty and it doesnt show.

It's very likely that meeting resolves the issue in 15 minutes precisely because of the back and forth before. The back and forth syncs ideas, so the meeting can be used for the decision process.

You seem to misunderstand FU money. FU money it's not about "basic retirement" - it's about "I do not have to worry where my next meal is coming from for next X months/years". 1.2M$ can do a lot in that de

Modular code is quality code. Separation of concerns and ability to rewrite parts of it independently is paramount to whatever else code quality metrics your team decides to use.
