- You don't have to ship Wine with it, you can just make it a runtime/package dependency. Most distros have Wine in their repos anyways, so there's no need to bundle it. I don't see this conceptually being any different

Those apps you mentioned are not your typical modern GTK4/libadwaita apps, so naturally you can theme them. It's the GTK4 apps - and ones which use libadwaita specifically - that cause grief. - Firefox: Uses its own custom renderi

Can you please upload some screenshots and/or a demo video (asciinema)? Most people won't try your program without knowing what it looks like and how it works.

I'm fine with the language, I just don't like its dependency ecosystem. I don't mind using it for quick-and-dirty single-file scripts, but once a python project reaches a certain level of complexity, you start relying on exte

WinApps doesn't use a Docker backend btw, you can use any Windows machine running anywhere - cloud, physical, container etc. All you need is the IP address of the box once it's set up. This looks great though. +1 choosing Qt inste

Yeah, my BioMenace used to hang at the loading screen as well, and as weird as it sounds, the fix was to move your mouse. I guess it was getting stuck waiting for a hardware interrupt or something. You could also start the game with your mo

What's a good alternative though? I tried Lemmy a while back and whilst FLOSS communities there were pretty active, others not so much. Only reason I use Reddit these days is for r/sysadmin and r/SCCM, lots of useful content

This is pretty short-sighted, considering that there are mobile devices out there that do not have an official Reddit client, such as all the various Linux phones.

Why a subscription model? As a user, I would prefer a pay-as-you-go model. Especially since the limit of 60 resumes in a month on the top tier plan can be a bit limiting. IIRC, the last time I was jobless I applied to more than a 100 jobs i

It's less about repairability and more about modularity and upgradability. The repairability is just a bonus as a result of its modular-first design. The whole point of the Framework is that it's your "final" laptop. Jus

Well, technically Windows 2.1 (released May 1988) came before OS/2 1.1 (released October 1988). OS/2 1.0 was text-only. So at least for 5 months in 1998, Windows technically beat OS/2. And OS/2 1.1 was very similar to Wi
