Much easier if you plan for it. When starting a project, one of the inevitable outcome is failure so it's worth thinking about what would happen in that case. I.e. plan for the good but also the bad. Also, it's important to look a

Yep, totally agree. And I think the more experience you have, the easier it gets to filter out the crap.

You say "or" but it can be "and". Best is to be an expert in one, "and" having a jack of all trades experience. I.e. you can specialize in front-end work with framework X, but doesn't mean you can't h

One question here for the more advanced compiler writers.. How do you go about writing a "pre-lexer" for LISP like language where you want to expand sexpr? I.e. Does the lexer even see `(...), or does it get pre-extracted to (quot

You might want to read Pixar and Beyond, which seems to portrait a much more realistic view.

Yeah.. datetime is one of the rare part of the Python API that I really hate using. It's just badly designed, e.g. simple things are hard and confusing.

I've used the vi style of editing with all IDEs over the years.. eclipse, visual studio, sublime and now atom. Oh, I also used vi style editing with Emacs :p (vim-mode or something)

Do what's best for the business.. In an ideal world where everything is free, then yes! make sure you support non-javascript browsers. Otherwise check the market and decide if it's worth the investment.

I think the feedback you should get from that comment isn't that the price is too big, but that the pricing page may not be as clear as you think. I.e. you never intended that dev to pay 100$/month but he/she took it that way

It would be much easier if you provided an example of what you have in mind. The approach I mentioned work perfectly for us, but it doesn't mean it'd work for you. But to answer your question, it shouldn't matter if subcompon

Well, this is exactly the goal of this pattern. One thing I didn't mention is that I use MVC per component, not for the full application. (I use something else for the global Application level). So, every major component has its own MV

I closely follow the Elm way (but in javascript with React), and it's still pretty much MVC. Model = the state, Controller = the update function changing the state based on action. View = declarative, need to send actions t

Personally, what I love about React is how simple the model is. There are no Directives or Filter or whatever else. It's just a Component with a state, a render and some life cycle methods. That's it. The full power of Javascript

Yeah, maybe the next big thing isn't travelling to a far away planet but just creating a ship big enough. I had a pretty cool theory about that when I was a kid, funny to see that it may be what actually happens.
